{"id":18082,"date":"2022-01-18T09:35:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-18T07:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.verona.fi\/?p=18082"},"modified":"2023-03-15T17:33:29","modified_gmt":"2023-03-15T15:33:29","slug":"bringing-a-new-reusable-product-to-the-market-with-kamupak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.verona.fi\/en\/nakemys\/blog\/bringing-a-new-reusable-product-to-the-market-with-kamupak\/","title":{"rendered":"Bringing a new reusable product to the market with Kamupak"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Together with Kamupak, Palmia, Unicafe, Paulig Corner and Vihre\u00e4 Vuohi we piloted the reusable coffee cup deposit system to find concrete ways to reduce the use of single-use plastics.&nbsp;<\/em><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The consumption of single-use packaging is constantly growing and Finnish startup Kamupak already has a deposit system for reusable takeaway lunch boxes. To extend their offering to coffee cups, Kamupak and Verona Growth piloted reusable coffee cups in 15 locations simultaneously, including locations from Palmia, UniCafe, Vihre\u00e4 Vuohi and Paulig Kulma.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were excited to work with Kamupak, one of the shortlisted companies in Sitra&#8217;s list of circular economy pioneers, to accelerate the use of circular packaging solutions. Pilots are definitely the most cost-effective way to test new solutions or services on the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe got quite a lot of feedback from consumers and that&nbsp; was valuable for us to actually understand what consumers think about. Based on that feedback we are now able to develop our service further.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>Saara Smith, COO, Kamupak<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the pilot, Kamupak was able to develop their solution to be more user friendly and Kamupak decided to continue offering KamuCups after the pilot based on the feedback, data and general interest gathered during the pilot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe got quite a lot \u201cOne big learning for us was that we can\u2019t build this kind of system alone.
